This course is designed for trainee and qualified reflexologists alike.
In this short course, we will examine cancer in palliative care and the role which reflexology can play in supporting patients in their cancer journey.
We will examine
- What is cancer
- Sources of information and advice on treatments
- Dispelling some myths surrounding cancer and complementary therapies
- The role of reflexology in the home, hospice and hospital
- Adapting treatments to suit patients needs
- Contraindications, side effects and cautions
- Aftercare for patients
- The role of the carer and how reflexology can support them during difficult times
