Reflexology is one of the disciplines which is increasingly recognised as being beneficial within palliative care both for its stress busting qualities and as a support to the immune system. It also has value as a way to handle pain, to reduce the symptoms of side effects to drugs and to improve the general well-being of terminally ill patients.
During the 1 day course you will learn
- how your role as therapist will change in the environment of palliative care
- how to adapt your techniques to suit work with the terminally ill
- how to add value to your treatments by incorporating other therapies and knowledge you have at your disposal
- how to ensure your own well-being both emotionally and physically in, what can be, a more complex environment
- how to work comfortably and positively with other professionals
This course is available as a stand alone workshop or as a module in the Advanced Diploma in Reflexology. This course is open to qualified Reflexologists and those reaching the end of their training and wishing to add to their knowledge and open up a wider range of potential clients.
