This comprehensive 10-Day Crystal Therapy Practitioner Training Programme is aimed at student or qualified physical therapists who wish to combine their existing skills and qualifications with the healing medium of crystal therapy. Highly flexible and modular in design, this course allows each therapist to determine their own rate of study and does not impose a set time frame for qualification but rather provides a flexibility of studying, module by module as and when time and finance permit.
Made up of a series of stand alone workshops or CPD events which are valuable and fascinating workshops in their own right, we believe that this is probably the most innovative crystal training programme currently available in the UK.
Students are required to study the following modules but at dates to suit them. Module Two -
Foot Zone Therapy
A one day workshop suitable for existing and student reflexologists, massage therapists and crystal therapists, which can be taken for CPD purposes. A variety of techniques are covered to further explore the importance of the zones of the feet in a holistic therapy context. Crystals will be used to stimulate the zones, meridians and chakras of the feet, and you will learn short techniques to bolt on to the beginning and / or end of a treatment and also longer techniques, which are treatments in themselves.
Reflexologists will find the techniques fit in neatly alongside their current treatment offering, but will be pleasantly surprised by the energy sensitivity they will develop while using them. The physical manipulation of a reflexology routine can be effectively balanced with the more subtle, and yet profound, treatment with a crystal point. The short technique is a particularly good way of calming and grounding a client at the end of a reflexology session.
Massage therapists may like to finish their routine by stimulating the chakra points on the feet to heighten and boost the effects of their massage, and may also like to turn their hand to the different style of a zone therapy treatment. Again, these techniques can add flavour and diversity to a regular massage routine, and help to develop your service offering.
Crystal therapists won't need to be persuaded about the power of crystalline energy in a treatment context, but will be surprised at the positive changes in clients from applying crystals in a more physically invasive way. This unique treatment will greatly enhance your current use of crystals, band is ideal for first time or nervous clients who may feel ill at ease with multiple crystals placed on them.
There is much to gain from the day, and as you will all experience these techniques for yourselves, you will be ready to start treating clients professionally with them immediately.
You will need to bring paper and pen, and can dress in loose and comfortable casual clothes. All crystals and materials used in the course will be available for use on the day, although if you have a tumbled crystal chakra set, and / or a large clear quartz single terminated point and a very small, blunt ended point, then please bring them with you.
Tutor: A member of the Athena In House team
Cost: £75.00 for the day. This includes tuition, refreshments, an e-manual and a certificate.

Module Three -
Indian Head Massage and Crystals - Morning Session
Hand Zone Therapy - Afternoon Session
These are two sessions available to everyone, and of particularly relevance for student and professional therapists looking to fulfil their CPD requirements. Each session can be taken separately, and there is no need to commit to both. Crystal therapists and massage therapists will find that this session greatly enhances their current therapy provisions.
Morning Session: Indian Head Massage and Crystals
You don't need to be experienced in Indian Head Massage (IHM) in order to take the first session, as all that is needed to gain from this session is a willingness to help someone else. Indeed, the course is an ideal taster for those considering IHM or Crystal and Gem therapy as a future training. Crystal wands, and smooth and tumbled crystals are used, following a basic routine covering the upper back, upper arms, shoulders, neck, scalp and face, and a selection of these will be available for use on the day. If you have your own crystals, bring them along!
The use of crystalline energy in this 'massage' based technique has the dual effect of:
(a) relieving pain, fatigue, aches and pains, and
(b) inducing a deep state of relaxation and stilling of the mind.
For people who are spiritually minded, the use of crystals around the higher chakras can help them with meditation and visualisation, and after care for recipients will be covered during the session.
Afternoon Session: Hand Zone Therapy
A short course suitable as CPD for existing therapists, or for anyone with an interest in learning a short healing technique. Hand Zone Therapy involves the use of crystals to stimulate the zone and pressure points of the hands to promote healing and balance. In traditional eastern and western complementary medicine, the hands contain a template of the whole body in miniature, and therapeutic stimulation of each part of the hand allows healing energy to flow through the whole body.
The use of crystals deepens the beneficial effect on the physical, mental, emotional and spiritual levels, and allows for a greater release of blockages, toxins and stagnant energy.
Hand Zone Therapy is a very portable technique which can be performed anywhere and with very little equipment. The closer proximity of Giver and Receiver during the treatment can allow for a more ‘sociable’ treatment to take place where conversation is possible, or it can induce a deeper sense of trust and willingness to open up on the part of the Receiver. The Giver can be more flexible in establishing both types of treatment.
Quick, Simple, Safe and Fun, Hand Zone Therapy is an excellent technique all round and a very useful healing tool to have.
So, if you want to have some fun in a relaxed atmosphere and learn some useful techniques for self healing and for use with clients, these two sessions are right for you, and we look forward to seeing you!

Module Four - Chakra Balancing Therapy
This course will teach you about the seven major points lying along the spinal column & how to unblock and cleanse them. The chakras regulate the flow of energy through our energy system. All decisions we make, and how we choose to respond to conditions in our life, are reflected in our Chakras.
We are all creative. Human beings create every aspect of their lives. We create our own health or disease, joy or despair, abundance or lack.
When our personal energy field is blocked or weakened, our creative (or manifesting) abilities are compromised. When out of balance, it affects our physical, emotional, mental and spiritual well being. Our Chi slows down (the life force). It is therefore important we try to maintain the correct energy flow through each one.
When the chakras are aligned the energy flows freely from the primal base to the spiritual crown. This allows us a grounded connection to a higher spiritual communication. This is why it is so important to change our thought processes and make shifts in our lifestyle. It is then through the result of these changes that we are healing the Chakras and truly transforming our energy flow and our lives.

Module Five - Crystal Body Massage Therapy
This therapy provides a gentle and deeply relaxing massage experience. A variety of crystal wands, palm stones and tumble stones are gently warmed and then incorporated into massage to calm and relax the mind, body and spirit.
The crystals can be used to transmit warmth and energy. The “ball” or smooth end of crystal wands can be used to work deeply and relieve muscular tension and stimulate acupressure points within the body. The stems can be used to promote lymphatic drainage therefore assisting the removal of waste, congestion and toxins from the body. This is a unique therapy to add something unique to any massage routine and incorporate into Aromatherapy, Reflexology, Manicure, Pedicure or Facials. This course also combines particularly well with Stone Therapy treatments.

Module Six - ITEC Unit 22 - Professional Conduct and Business Awareness
- Are you attending a course of study leading to a recognised professional certificate or diploma in a complementary therapy?
- Are you planning to set up and run you own therapy business?
- Do you already operate as a therapist and recognise that you need to ‘up your game’ to make a success of this during the ‘credit crunch’.
In today’s complex and competitive world it’s unfortunately generally not enough to be a brilliant therapist and we also need to be astute business people; able to navigate our way through issues such as:
- licensing,
- business planning,
- financial management
and
- company law.
People often set out on a career as a therapist in search of a less stressful and more fulfilling way of earning a living. We often assume that if we have the right intentions and trust and hope, it will all turn out right. Well to paraphrase an age old maxim ‘the Universe helps those who help themselves’- in other words, whilst the best of intentions is a very good place to start, taking the right actions with the best of intentions is an even better way to make sure things turn out well.
As with any new undertaking, it helps to start by planning what you want to achieve and to understand the steps you need to take in order to give yourself the best possible chance of success in achieving that aim. For this reason we see business planning as the corner stone of business success. It’s never too late to plan for success and , if your business is already up and running, but your feel you would tick the ‘could do better’ box, then why not go back to basics and develop a plan for the next phase of your business, giving it a firm framework for development?
This level 2 course is designed to provide the Complementary Therapist with the basic knowledge and skills required to help them plan for business success and then run a successful small business. It incorporates Unit 22 from the ITEC qualification framework
