We will be running weight management classes with a difference. Holistic means 'whole' body, mind and spirit. For long term success to occur a balanced approach is required on every level and this is where many weight management classes fall down. They address just the physical aspect and ignore the rest. If you are looking for a simple healthy way to lose weight, in conjunction with regular exercise, incorporating meditation and visualisation techniques to make positive changes and remove energy blocks that can hinder success, then these classes are a must for you.
If you are committed to a healthy, long-term weight loss through positive lifestyle changes, our classes will provide practical, evidence-based solutions and empowerment strategies. Physical activity is a must for anyone wishing to lose weight and many people find it daunting to exercise; we provide exercise, in small groups, that is fun and motivational in a caring , empathic environment.
The classes will initially run over an 8 week period and then commence into a longer term maintenance plan. Over the 8 week course classes will cover;
- Addressing eating habits and identifying patterns;
- Healthy eating guidelines;
- Gaining nutritional knowledge;
- Tasty recipes and meal planning;
- Learning about the GI healthy way to weight loss;
- Fun ways to exercise and tips to try at home;
- Emotional eating/ food and body image;
- Relaxation/ meditation and visualisation techniques;
- EFT techniques

Course times: 6pm - 7.30pm with a follow on Bodybalance class from 7.45pm - 8.45pm (see class content and book below).

Bodybalance
Let relaxation take you into the weekend
About body balance
Bodybalance is the yoga,Tai chi, Pilates workout that builds flexibility strength that leaves you feeling centered and calm. Controlled breathing, concentration and a carefully structured series of stretches, moves and poses to music create a holistic workout that brings the body into a state of harmony and balance.
A typical class
Each class is made up of 45 minutes of simple but challenging exercises, followed by 10 minutes of relaxation and meditation.
- You will begin with easy flowing Tai chi moves to leave your day behind, centre yourself and warm your body.
- The teacher will then take you through various yoga and pilates sequences to strengthen and tone your key muscle groups. Poses and stretches are used to create suppleness and flexibility
- The final 10 minutes are set aside for the widely acknowledged mental and physiological benefits of meditation which also enhances the effects of the exercise.
