The Glands of the endocrine system, by secreting hormones into the blood, play an essential part in maintaining and controlling metabolic processes throughout the body. This system is also crucial for the development and growth of the body. Reflexology can be used to balance the endocrine system and so help return the client to homeostasis.
During the 1 day course you will learn
- To identify the major endocrine glands and their actions
- To recognise which conditions may be affected by the endocrine system
- To locate the reflexes for these glands on the foot
- To understand the potential benefits of working these reflexes
- What the associated reflexes for the endocrine system are
This course is available as a stand alone workshop or as a module in the Advanced Diploma in Reflexology and is therefore suitable for qualified and experienced Reflexologists as well as those reaching the end of their initial training. It will help you to widen your client base and give you the confidence to work with clients requiring support and balancing of the functions of the endocrine system.
Assessment will be ongoing throughout the duration of the day.
